A few years ago I bought a medical reference skull cast. I've drawn and painted it many, many times.
I liked the idea of flowers that have died but kept their colour and the effect this had in relation to the skull.
It's a strange image but also contemplative, I think. At the end of the day, it's just a huge amount of fun to paint and work on.
