I love the colours Diego Velazquez (1599 - 1660) uses, not to mention his supernatural ability to capture his sitters' likeness.
I decided to reduce the colours down to their main groups and add a copy of the eyes from this famous painting, 'Portrait of Juan de Pareja' (1648 - Housed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York).
